The Journey Toward Reconciliation
Songs for Reconciliation is an evolving journey of creative connection. We use the power of music to explore the complexities of our shared history, moving through distinct stages of listening, learning, and relationship-building between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

PHASE 01
Bring the Children Home
Remembering the children, honouring Survivors, and confronting the truth of the residential school experience.
Bring the Children Home began the journey by creating space for remembrance, truth and the voices of those affected by residential schools.
PHASE 02
We Are Treaty People
Understanding treaties as living relationships built on peace, friendship, respect, rights and responsibilities.
We Are Treaty People moves the conversation toward our shared responsibilities as people living within treaty relationships—and the importance of learning what those relationships mean today.

PHASE 03
A Song for Healing
Creating space for healing, reflection and hope through music.
The third phase turns toward healing—recognizing the pain carried by individuals, families and communities while creating space for compassion, connection, renewal and hope.
PHASE 04
The final phase brings together the themes, voices and stories developed throughout the project into a full-length album—continuing the conversation through music and creating a lasting collection for generations to come.
