ReconciliACTIONs

Reconciliation is a journey that requires every person living in this land to look at the past, listen to the present, and walk toward a shared future with honesty and respect. While music and storytelling can open hearts and begin conversations, reconciliation only truly takes root when awareness transforms into action. A ReconciliACTION is a meaningful, personal, or collective step taken to contribute to the healing of relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. It is a commitment to move beyond just 'knowing' about the history of this land to 'doing' something that upholds the spirit of peace, friendship, and justice. That is where ReconciliACTIONs comes in.
Moving beyond awareness requires a shift in perspective. It demands that we not only see the injustices of the past and present but that we feel them in our own bodies and spirits. Reconciliation is not a static goal to be reached; it is a way of life, a constant turning toward the truth and toward one another.
This journey takes time. It requires patience, humility, and a willingness to be uncomfortable. Reconciliation doesn't happen overnight. It happens in the quiet moments of listening, in the difficult conversations, and in the small, daily choices we make to stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples.
